Reduced aromas of smoky minerality and oyster shell; less pristine than the preceding examples. Then cool, fresh and spicy in the mouth, with lemon and mint flavors framed by penetrating acidity. Comes across as a bit disjointed at present, though, as the wine's sweetness and acidity need time to harmonize.

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
